JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation reports two crashes have closed sections of Interstate 44 in Webster County. As of 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 5, MoDOT anticipates the affected sections of I-44 could remain closed for at least two hours, and potentially longer due to the hazardous weather conditions. Motorists are advised to avoid the area. If you are already traveling on the interstate, slow down, use caution, and consider pulling off and finding shelter until the highway reopens. MoDOT urges against travel throughout the duration of the winter storm.
