Missouri Intrastate Operating Authority

For-hire motor carriers transporting property or passengers in intrastate commerce (wholly within) are required to apply for authority to operate in Missouri. The registration process promotes motor carriers safety and, because it requires continuous filing of insurance, their economic health.

Commercial Zones

Commercial zones are geographic areas that include a city. They generally extend two miles outside the city limits. Weight and height limits are expanded for moves that occur completely within a commercial zone.
