Work schedule change to Route 210 and I-435 lane closures

CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following closures as part of an ongoing Route 210 and I-435 Interchange Improvement Project.

***The following new closures listed below will have significant impact to traffic.

Crews will close the right lane of eastbound Route 210 at I-435 from 8:30 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, June 20 for wall painting work.

Crews will close the right lane of westbound Route 210 at I-435 from 9:30 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, June 20 for wall painting work.

Crews will close the right lane of eastbound Route 210 at I-435 from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 and again Friday, June 22 for wall painting work.

Crews will close the right lane of westbound Route 210 at I-435 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 and again Friday June 22 for wall painting work.

****Crews will reduce northbound I-435 to one lane between Front St. and just beyond Route 210 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 and again Friday, June 22 for guardrail work, pavement marking and barrier placement work. Again, this closure will have significant impact to traffic – in conjunction with the Route 210 closures. ****

 All work is weather dependent.

This is all part of a project to build a new diverging diamond interchange for I-435 and Route 210, which includes replacing the old twin bridges over I-435 and Route 210 and widening I-435.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
