MoDOT To have Daily CLOSURES on I-435 from Stateline to the Three Trails Crossing Next Week

KANSAS CITY – As part of the Missouri Department of Transportation project along the I-435 corridor, several lane closures are planned along I-435 from Stateline to the Three Trails Crossing next week to perform a variety of tasks including setting concrete barrier as crews prepare to build outside lanes in the coming months. The closures include:

  • Monday, April 30: Close the eastbound auxiliary lane between State Line and Holmes from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to remove signs.
  • Monday, April 30: Close the westbound right most lane from Grandview Rd to Blue River from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to place concrete traffic barrier on the shoulder.
  • Monday, April 30: Close the eastbound right lane across the Blue River from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for geotechnical soil research.
  • Tuesday, May 1: Close the westbound right most lane from Grandview Rd to Blue River from 9 am to 6 pm to place concrete traffic barrier on the shoulder.
  • Wednesday, May 2:  Close the westbound right lane between 104th and Holmes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to place concrete barrier on the shoulder.
  • Thursday, May 3: Close the westbound right lane from Holmes to the westbound Wornall on-ramp from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to place concrete barrier on the shoulder.

 This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project that will replaces the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitates the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, and upgrades the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
