Crews Will Reduce I-470 to ONE LANE from Pryor Rd. to Blue Ridge Blvd. on Nov. 10 at 8 p.m.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will reduce both directions of Interstate 470 from Pryor Road to Blue Ridge Blvd. to ONE LANE beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, until approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13. This lane reduction is so that crews can prepare to return most of I-470 back to its original configuration until next March when work will begin again. In addition to this lane drop, I-470 is anticipated to be reduced to two lanes at the James A. Reed Bridge until Monday, Nov. 20. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find an alternate route if necessary. All work is weather permitting.

This corridor of I-470 includes the first of several bridges (Cedar Creek Bridge, View High Bridge, Little Blue River Bridge, and the James A. Reed Bridge) that will undergo repairs and/or replacements along I-470. Work along this corridor, as well as the north end of I-470 will resume in spring of 2018. For more information about this project, visit our webpage.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
