Traffic Signal Work Will Impact MO Route 7 and US 24 on Oct. 18

JACKSON COUNTY – MoDOT and Capital Electric will be conducting traffic signal work on MO Route 7 at U.S. 24 beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, until 3 p.m. All work is weather permitting.

  • Traffic taking the on ramp going west off of U.S. 24 will be NOT able to turn left going south onto MO 7 but WILL be able to turn right to go north. Motorists should use next cross over as detour if needed.
  • Traffic taking the on ramp going east off of U.S. 24 will NOT be able to turn left going north onto MO 7 but WILL be able to turn right to go south. Motorists should use next cross over as detour if needed.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
