CLAY COUNTY – Crews will close the inside lanes of northbound and southbound I-35 and move traffic to the outside lanes between Pleasant Valley Rd. and the Flintlock Overpass from 7 p.m. Friday, March 17 and working continuously until 7 p.m. Sunday, March 19 for median work. Originally, the work was scheduled for 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each day.
This is all part of an effort to improve Interstate 35 from Vivion Rd. to Pleasant Valley Rd., including the Pleasant Valley Interchange, Church Rd., Sobbie Rd., Pleasant Valley Rd. and US 69. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
