CLAY COUNTY – Crews will reduce northbound I-35 to one lane between I-435 and the Flintlock Flyover from 7 a.m. Saturday, March 4 through 4 pm. Sunday, March 5 for the removal of the temporary asphalt crossover in the median of I-35. Originally, this work was scheduled for 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 4. All work is weather dependent.
This is all part of an effort to improve Interstate 35 from Vivion Rd. to Pleasant Valley Rd., including the Pleasant Valley Interchange, Church Rd., Sobbie Rd., Pleasant Valley Rd. and US 69.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
