BELTON - MoDOT will explain details of a project to widen shoulders and make other improvements to Route Y from Cambridge to Route YY at an open house public meeting March 24.
The open house public meeting from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. at Heartland Christian Academy, 810 S. Cedar, Belton, will allow citizens to come and go as they please during the two hours, view displays and ask MoDOT engineers details about the project.
There will be no formal presentation. MoDOT expects to start the $1.7 million project is scheduled for construction in the spring and summer of 2015.
The project includes adding shoulders, resurface and add rumble stripes to both sides of the 5-mile project, and improve safety and visibility at 205th and 215th Street intersections.
