Steve Porter 622-6329
BELTON, Mo. - The ramp from 163rd Street to northbound Route 71 will re-open by mid-afternoon Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The opening of the new ramp at the reconstructed interchange will provide more access at 163rd Street from neighborhoods east and west to Route 71. Construction continues on the other two ramps and the widening of 163rd Street at the interchange, all of which will be phased in as work proceeds this fall.
Construction crews are working on the ramps from 163rd Street to southbound Route 71 and from northbound Route 71 to 163rd Street, and additional lanes of 163rd Street beneath the Route 71 bridges. The interchange is expected to be fully functioning by late this year.
