BELTON, Mo. - The ramp from southbound Route 71 to 163^rd Street will re-open by mid-afternoon Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The opening of the new ramp at the reconstructed interchange will restore access to Belton neighborhoods east and west of Route 71, and to Route Y. Construction continues on the other three ramps and the widening of 163^rd Street at the interchange, all of which will be phased in as work proceeds this fall.

Construction crews are turning their attention to the northbound ramp from 163^rd to Route 71, which will be the next element to be completed in the next few weeks. The interchange is expected to be fully functioning by late this year.
