MoDOT will widen Route F to four lanes with a turn lane creating a 5-lane section of roadway between 13th and 31st Streets south of I-70. Utilities relocation begins August 2013, with construction to follow later this year and continue through 2014.

Why is MoDOT doing this project?

Route F is currently an older, 2 lane rural highway within the city limits. As Oak Grove continues to grow and develop, the roadway has become obsolete. Improvements will greatly increase the capacity and longevitiy of this important artery through the main business district.

This is a $10 million dollar project, The Missouri Department of Transportation will contribute $4.5 million to the project through the innovative finance program. The remaining funds will be contributed by the City of Oak Grove. Learn more about how MoDOT is funded here.
