What is MoDOT doing on this project?

Route 152 over Interstate 35, Kansas Street and Route 291 and Kansas Street are critical junctions for the City of Liberty. These improvements will accommodate development, and most importantly, improve traffic safety. It will also create a safe, efficient, environmentally sound, and economical transportation facility that meets the needs of the area.

MoDOT will make improvements to the interchange at I-35/Route 152, including bridge replacement and ramp extensions, corridor improvements to Kansas Street from the interchange to Route 291 and intersection improvements to Route 291 and Kansas Street.

How will this project benefit me?

MoDOT will address the needs of improving the I-35/Route 152 Interchange as well as bridge replacement work, street widening and adding turn lanes. The project will also address bicycle and pedestrian needs along the corridor. A multiple-use path along the south side of Route 152 and Kansas Street which will extend across the I-35 bridge.

What impact will this project have on traffic?
