The Missouri Department of Transportation is in the business of a lot of things, from building roads to plowing snow. But many people don't know that buying and selling land is one of them.

The department is planning a series of local auctions to sell property it no longer needs. All funds generated go back into roadway projects that benefit Missouri drivers.

This 4 acres includes 36’ x 75’ concrete block building with automatic overhead doors, a 32’x 36’ storage building and a 12’ x 15’ opened storage shed.

It is located at 614 W. Rt. 2, Chilhowee, Mo., .3 miles west of Route 2 or 6.1 miles west of Route 13.

The public auction will be held Friday, Nov. 20, at 10:30 a.m. on site.
