Project Status: The Bike & Pedestrian Study has Surveys online. Take them now!

Is walking or biking your primary transportation? Do you spend time after work and on weekends cycling, walking or running? Then the Missouri Department of Transportation wants to hear from you.

MoDOT and its planning partners need help identifying issues, needs, and locations for bicycle and pedestrian travel ways along MoDOT’s roads.

MoDOT has created two surveys to better understand the bicycle and pedestrian needs in the greater Kansas City area.

If you do not have access to a computer, you can call 888-ASK-MODOT for a mailed copy of the survey.

MoDOT, in a collaborative effort with Mid-America Regional Council, city representatives, and members of the biking community, has formed the Pedestrian-Bicycle Study Team. This group has been working together to develop a bicycle and pedestrian plan for the district that identifies and prioritizes roads needing bicycle and pedestrian improvements on the MoDOT transportation system.

MoDOT generally maintains interstates, numbered highways and lettered routes. Many roads in the area are taken care of by the local city or county.
