Crews began work on Augutst 10 and are currently working to improve the sidewalks along Route 169. Motorists can anticipate single lane closures as work progresses through the area. Crews are currently working from Route DD to First Street, closing the right lane. Work is anticipated to be complete by winter.

Public informational meeting was held on Thursday, July 23.

The letting date was June 26, with a notice to proceed.

• American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Projects Under Way in Clay County

Route:

Route 69 – Thin lift overlay from the Clinton County line to Route 92. Total length of project is 5.977 miles.

Status:

PROJECT COMPLETE. The contractor is began this project on November 5 and finished it November 11. Project was awarded in February to Chester Bross Construction in combination with the thin lift overlay projects for Route M and Route C in Ray County and Route FF in Lafayette County.

The total awarded for the combination of projects was $1.6 million.

Route:

Route 9 – Rehabilitate Heart of America Bridge bridge structure over the Missouri River, including addition of a bicycle and pedestrian facility.

Crews are currently working on north and southbound Route 1 between 70th and Antioch Road, closing the right lane in each direction. Work is anticipated to be complete by winter.

Contract awarded to Hilty Quarries Inc. in combination with Route 2 in Cass County. Paving is completed in Henry County, and crews will continue placing gravel shoulders and striping through the next few weeks..

Route 150 – Widen from two lanes to four lanes from Horridge Road to Route 291.

Route I-70 and 435 Interchange – Construct new half diamond interchange at Route 40/I-435, replace Blue Ridge Cut-off bridge over I-70, add lanes to I-70 and modify some ramps.

• Route 131 ARRA Project Underway

Route:

Route 70 – Pavement improvements on the eastbound and westbound lanes from the Jackson County line to Odessa.

Cost:

$7,000,000

Status:

PROJECT COMPLETE. This project was awarded to Chester Bross Construction Company out of Hannibal MO. Construction in the area began on Tuesday, June 2 with pavement and shoulder repairs, resurfacing both eastbound and westbound lanes between the Jackson County Line and Odessa.

• American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Project in Lafayette County to Begin on June 2
• ARRA Project on I-70 in Lafayette County Complete

Route FF – Thin lift overlay from Gillespie Drive to Route O. Total length of project is 12.287 miles.

$694,000

Status:

The contractor is expected to begin work on November 23 through December 1. Chester Bross Construction was awarded the contract in February in combination with the thin lift overlay projects on Route 69 in Clay County and the Route M and Route C in Ray County.

The total awarded for the combination of projects was $1.6 million.

Route:

Interstate 29 – Resurface pavement and shoulders on northbound and southbound lanes at various locations from Route 273 to Vivion Road

Status:

PROJECT COMPLETE. This project was awarded to Ideker Inc. on May 4. Work began Monday, May 18 with pavement and shoulder repairs. Crews resurfaced both north and southbound lanes between Route 273 and Vivion Road.

Route 273 – Pavement improvements on Route 273 from Route JJ to I-29 and Spur 92 from Route 273 to Route 92.

PROJECT COMPLETE. Project was awarded to Ideker, Inc. Work began along Route 273 in early October. All work was complete on November 15.
