Crews began work on Augutst 10 and are currently working to improve the sidewalks along Route 169. Motorists can anticipate single lane closures as work progresses through the area. Crews are currently working from Route DD to First Street, closing the right lane. Work is anticipated to be complete by mid December.

PROJECT COMPLETE. Crews began work on August 10 and improved the sidewalks along Route 1. The improvements on Route 1 include the addition of new sidewalks and pedestrian accommodations at intersections to improve safety, increase mobility, and provide better access for pedestrians in the area. In addition to the sidewalk improvements, additional shelters at area bus stops were provided to enhance the riding experience for the many riders using the services of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority.
A ribbon cutting was held December 4.
