In order to be considered for a specific advertised vacancy, you must have an applicant profile and you must submit an on-line application for the specific advertised vacancy. The application needs to be submitted on or before the posting deadline. You can upload and attach documents such as college transcripts to your on-line application.
MoDOT accepts applications on a continuing basis for employment categories of information technology, civil engineering, mechanics, surveying, highway maintenance, seasonal jobs, emergency jobs, interns, and co-ops. However, applications for these employment categories are NOT automatically considered for vacancies as they occur. To be considered for vacancies within these employment categories, you must submit an on-line application for a specific advertised job vacancy.
Applications are reviewed after the closing date of the job vacancy. We take hiring very seriously and the process can at times be lengthy. Depending on the position it can take several weeks to fill a vacancy, but we believe it's worth it to ensure we are hiring the right person to join the MoDOT team.
MoDOT values a diverse workforce and encourages female and minority applicants to apply. The department utilizes a panel interview process.
MoDOT is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed
to equal employment opportunities without regard to age,
race, creed, religion, sex, national origin, or disability
status. Our goal is to ensure that all job applicants and
employees receive a discrimination-free employment process
and work environment.
