Upcoming Bridge Projects on Route A in Wayne County

The Missouri Department of Transportation is planning to improve two bridges located on Route A in Wayne County. 

The improvements include: 

  • Rehabilitating the Route A bridge over Otter Creek, located south of County Road 430.
  • Replacing the Route A bridge over Small Creek, located between County Road 371 and County Road 400.

Work to improve the bridges could begin as early as winter 2026-2027. During construction, the roadway will be closed in the vicinity of each bridge for approximately two months, weather permitting.
