MoDOT has begun the conversation for improving the state’s transportation system and making it safer.  The initiative, called A Conversation for Moving Missouri Forward, identifies transportation options needed to make Missouri roads safer, create jobs and improve our quality of life.  It’s the next step in determining where transportation in Missouri needs to be headed and what Missourians want their transportation system to look like.  It is by no means a finished product, but is the first step in identifying the state’s most critical transportation needs and how they could be addressed.  If, when and how we move ahead, these projects will be based on local direction and public input.  There is no doubt the conversation will evolve over time, but it’s a start – a conversation for moving Missouri forward.
