Road Work for Mid-Missouri
May 15, 2017 - May 26, 2017

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of May 15-26, 2017. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.


MoDOT reminds motorists to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signs and drive safely through work areas. All Counties
Daylight Hours
Striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Missouri River Bridge and St. Charles Road – Crews will perform pavement repair work in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Route 763 (Rangeline Street) and St. Charles Road from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the week of May 15. Guardrail replacement will also take place the week of May 15. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2018.

Route 63 at Interstate 70 – Pavement repair and resurfacing continues.
       *Crews will install pavement marking on the Route 63 Connector from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the week of May 15. One lane will be open through the work area.

Route AC over Route 63 – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 124 between Route 63 and Route NN – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 124 between Route NN and Proctor Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route B between Route 124 and Oakland Church Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route HH between Route B and Brown Station Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 22 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route H over Davis Creek, east of County Road 329 – Bridge replacement will begin on Monday, May 15. The road will be closed. Motorists are advised to seek alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.

Overnight Hours
Route 63 over the Katy Trail, north of Jefferson City – Bridge deck replacement in the southbound lanes will begin on Wednesday, May 17.
       * Construction of crossovers will begin on Wednesday, May 17. One northbound lane and one southbound lane will be open through the work area. The full project is scheduled for completion in September.

Daylight Hours
Route D between Interstate 70 and Route K – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route D between Interstate 70 and Route 94 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route K between Route D and the Montgomery County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route CC at Route O – Culvert pipe maintenance will take place on Monday, May 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route UU over Crows Fork Creek, east of County Road 101 – Bridge deck replacement is complete. Occasional daytime lane closures are possible the week of May 15 due to grading operations.


Camden County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route A over Dry Auglaize Creek, east of Linn Creek – Bridge deck replacement will begin on Monday, May 22. The road will be closed. Motorists are advised to seek and alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in early July. 

Daylight Hours
Route 54 between the Niangua River Bridge and Route BB in Hickory County – Resurfacing and widening to a shared four-lane roadway continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late May.

Route 54 between Route 7 and Cecil Street – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 50/63 between Shamrock Road and the Osage River Bridge – Roadway resurfacing and intersection improvements are underway.
        *Shamrock Road and Liberty Road on the south side of Route 50 and the median crossover at the intersection are closed. For Shamrock Road and Liberty Road traffic south of Route 50, access to Route 50 will be via Route M and the Route 50 and Route M interchange. Eastbound Route 50 traffic will access Shamrock Road on the north side of Route 50 by following eastbound Route 50 to the Militia Drive interchange and then taking westbound Route 50 to Shamrock Road.
The intersection is scheduled to be open to traffic by June 1. The entire project is scheduled for completion in July.


Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route B over the Petite Saline Creek, south of Interstate 70 - Bridge deck replacement continues. The bridge is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 over the Lamine River, west of Route M – Bridge maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Sunday, May 14 and Monday, May 15. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 87 over Interstate 70 – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M over Interstate 70 – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Route J and County Road 522 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 19 over Crooked Creek, south of Edgar Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to use signed detour routes around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in early June.

Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route 19 and Route AA in Washington County – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 8 between Route 19 and the Phelps County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route U between Route M and Meramec Farms Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route UU between Interstate 44 and Argo Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 Outer Road between Route F and the Phelps County line– Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 Outer Road between Route H and Route UU – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Gasconade County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 19 over Second Creek, south of Brakemeyer Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route EE over Dry Ford Creek, north of Bem Church Road – Bridge replacement will begin on Monday, May 15. The road will be closed. Motorists are advised to seek alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.

Route F between Route 19 and Stolpe Road– Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route H between Route 19 and Route E – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route T between Smith Road and Tea Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 124 between Route 240 and Route B in Boone County – Chip sealing the roadway surface to extend pavement will begin on Monday, May 15. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Z between Route 87 and Route J – Roadside maintenance will take place Wednesday, May 17 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street – Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 68 over Coppedge Creek, east of Route H – Bridge deck rehabilitation continues. One lane is open, and a temporary traffic signal will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in early June.


Miller County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 52 over Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues.
       * Westbound traffic will be detoured around the work area. Crews will flag eastbound traffic through the work area.
       * Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures on Route 54 are possible during the work. The eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

Daylight Hours
Route 17 between Route 42 and Route 52 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route JJ between Route C and Bear Creek Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route D between Route U and Brush Creek Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route MM between Flag Spring Road and Pilot Grove Road – Culvert pipe maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 16 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours

Route 52 between Route 5 and Route Y in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder work continues. One lane will be open, and flagging crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in July.

Route K between Route E and Excelsior Road - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route BB between Route D and Route 135 - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 22 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Osage County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route T over Maries River, north of County Road 526 – Bridge deck replacement will begin on Monday, May 15. The road will be closed. Motorists are advised to seek alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in early July. 

Daylight Hours
Route 89 over Gasconade River, north of Route E - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 100 between Route 50 and Route C - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 133 between Route B and County Road 542 - Culvert pipe maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Overnight Hours Interstate 44 between Route 63 and Route F in Crawford County – Roadway resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues.
       * Repairs in the eastbound lanes will take place the week of May 15. One lane will be open through the work area. 

Daylight Hours
Route 68 between Interstate 44 and Route 8 – Pedestrian improvements will begin on Monday, May 15. Occasional lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Route F between Route 68 and County Road 3170 – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route J between Route M and Route P – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 and Tuesday, May 16. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route K between Route 63 and Route J – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 7 over the Gasconade River, north of Rustler Lane – Bridge deck replacement continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-July.

Daylight Hours
Route 17 between Route H and Route T – Pavement improvements and grading continue.
       * Roadside work is scheduled for the week of May 15. Minimal traffic delays are expected.
