Road Work for Mid-Missouri
April 17, 2017 - April 28, 2017

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of April 17 – April 28, 2017. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.

MoDOT reminds motorists to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signs and drive safely through work areas. All Counties
Daylight Hours
Striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continue in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between the Missouri River Bridge and St. Charles Road – Crews will perform pavement repair work in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Route 63 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the week of April 17.  One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2018.

Route 63 at Interstate 70 – Pavement repair and resurfacing continues.
       * Crews will install pavement marking on the Route 63 Connector from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the week of April 17. One lane will be open through the work area.

Interstate 70 over the Missouri River, west of Route BB – Bridge maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Interstate 70 over Cedar Creek, at the Callaway County line – Bridge maintenance in the westbound lanes will take place Wednesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 20. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Route Z between Interstate 70 and Business Route 124 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 


Callaway County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route UU over Crows Fork Creek, east of County Road 101 – Bridge deck replacement is nearing completion. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route D between Interstate 70 and Route 94 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route M at County Road 240 – Roadside maintenance will take place on Wednesday, April 19. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route UU between Route JJ and County Road 113 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, April 24 and Tuesday, April 25. The road will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.


Route UU between Route O and County Road 101
– Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 20. The road will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.


Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between the Niangua River Bridge and Route BB in Hickory County – Resurfacing and widening to a shared four-lane roadway continues. A pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late May.

Route 54 between Route 7 and Cecil Street – Pedestrian improvements continue. Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures are likely. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Route 54 between Osage Beach Parkway and Route 17 in Cole County – Bridge maintenance in various locations in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 20. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.


Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 50/63 between Shamrock Road and the Osage River Bridge – Roadway resurfacing and intersection improvements begin on Monday, April 17.  One lane in each direction will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in July.

Route 50/63 between Shamrock Road and the Osage River Bridge – Roadway maintenance in the eastbound/southbound lanes and the westbound/northbound lanes will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane in each direction will be open through the work area.

Route 179 between Route 54 and Route 98 in Cooper County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Route 54 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Cooper County
Daylight Hours
Route B over the Petite Saline Creek, south of Interstate 70 - Bridge deck replacement will begin on Wednesday, April 19. The bridge will be completely closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Route D between Route 87 and Route O in Moniteau County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route F between Route 5 and Route B – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Crawford County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 19 over Crooked Creek, south of Edgar Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed during the work. Motorists are advised to use signed detour routes around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in early June.

Route 8 between Route 19 and Route AA in Washington County – Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 8 between Route 19 and the Washington County line – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route Y in Iron County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route C between Interstate 44 and Route 19 – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route N between Interstate 44 and Route 185 in Washington County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Gasconade County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 19 over Second Creek, south of Brakemeyer Road – Bridge replacement continues. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May.

Route T between Route 50 and Hollandsworth Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Howard County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route 40 and Route J – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 240 and Broadway Street in New Franklin – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 24 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Laclede County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route F – Pavement repair in the eastbound lanes will take place Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.


Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Sixth Street and Vance Street – Sidewalk and signal improvements continue. Occasional lane closures are possible through the work area.

Route B over Osage Fork, south of Creek Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 North Outer Road between Route Y and Aspen Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 North Outer Road between Route F and Starling Drive – Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 44 North Outer Road between Route T and the end of state maintenance – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 24 and Tuesday, April 25. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Maries County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 42 over the Little Maries River, east of Route 133 – Bridge deck replacement is nearing completion. The road is closed. Motorists are advised to use signed detour routes around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in May.

Route 68 over Coppedge Creek, east of Route H – Bridge deck rehabilitation will begin on Monday, April 17. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is schedule completion in early June.


Miller County
Daylight Hours
Route 52 over Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation is underway.
       * Westbound traffic will be detoured around the work area. Crews will flag eastbound traffic through the work area.
       * Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures on Route 54 are possible during the work. The eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route H between Route 50 and Route O in Cooper County – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route W between Route 5 and Route E – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route MM between Route F and Flag Spring Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 27. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 52 between Route 5 and Route Y in Miller County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening is underway. One lane will be open, and flagging crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in July.

Route T between Route 52 and Possom Trot Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route FF between Route 52 and Beechnut Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route MM between Route 5 and Ritchie Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.


Phelps County
Overnight Hours Interstate 44 between Route 63 and Route F in Crawford County – Roadway resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues.
       * Repairs in the eastbound lanes will take place the week of April 17. One lane will be open through the work area.

Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route V between Interstate 44 and Hypoint Boulevard -
Pavement improvements and grading continue.
       * Pavement replacement and pavement marking are scheduled for the week of April 17. Occasional lane closures are likely through the work area.


Pulaski County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 7 over the Gasconade River, north of Rustler Lane – Bridge deck replacement will begin on Monday, April 24. The road will be closed during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-July.


Washington County
Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Route AA and the St. Francois County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
