Route 19 Bridge Over Second Creek to Close for Replacement

OWENSVILLE, Mo. – Work to replace the Route 19 bridge over Second Creek will begin the morning of Monday, March 20 in Gasconade County. The bridge, which is located approximately eight miles north of Owensville, will be closed to traffic for 60 days until construction of the new bridge is completed.

Electronic message boards will be in place in the area to warn motorists of the closure. A signed detour will also be in place.

The signed detour routes around the bridge are:

  • Route 19 North: East on Route 28 and then north on Route 50 back to Route 19.
  • Route 19 South: South on Route 50 and then west on Route 28 back to Route 19.

A map of the detour can be found at www.modot.org/central.
