Construction Contract Awarded for Auxvasse Creek Bridge on Route 94 in Callaway County

JEFFERSON CITY - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded a contract to improve the Auxvasse Creek Bridge on Route 94 in Callaway County.

The commission awarded the contract to Lehman Construction, LLC of California, Mo., after they submitted the low bid of $688,439.08.

The bridge's deck and beams will be replaced under the contract, and work is scheduled to take place during the 2011 construction season.

The Auxvasse Creek bridge is located approximately three miles east of Route C. The work is part of MoDOT Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program, which will improve 800 of Missouri's worst bridges in five years - by the end of 2013. Ninety bridges are being replaced or repaired in the mid-Missouri area as part of this program.
