Work Planned for Route 124 Bridge Over Perche Creek in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY - If the weather permits, work will begin early next week on a project to improve the Perche Creek Bridge on Route 124 in Boone County. The bridge is located near the intersection of Routes 124 and NN.

The bridge will close during the work and traffic will be detoured around the area on Routes 124, 63 and NN. The bridge will remain closed through late April.

The work to rehabilitate the Perche Creek Bridge is a part of the Missouri Department of Transportation's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program, which will improve 800 of Missouri's worst bridges in five years. Ninety bridges will be replaced or repaired in the mid-Missouri area as part of this program.

For more information about the project or for a complete listing of bridges included in the program, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or log onto www.modot.org/central.
