JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the week of Nov. 2-6, 2009. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected.

Benton County
Daylight Hours
Route 65, 1.75 miles south of Route HH to north of Route H in Lincoln - Grading and drainage work to widen highway to five lanes. One northbound or southbound lane may be closed during the work. The entire project is scheduled to be complete in fall 2010.
Route 65 over the Lake of the Ozarks, just north of Route 83 in Warsaw - Bridge work will continue through fall. Traffic is not affected at this time.
Route 83 at the Big Pomme Bridge over the Truman Reservoir - Bridge work continues through late fall. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 7 over the Osage Arm of the Truman Reservoir, located east of Route KK - Bridge deck replacement continues. One lane will be open with a temporary traffic signal installed to move vehicles through the work area. This project is expected to be complete in late fall.
Boone County
Daylight Hours
Route 763 between Big Bear Blvd. and Prathersville Road in Columbia - Roadway widening.
* Pavement marking, permanent signs and concrete median work continues from Smiley Lane to the roundabout.
* Traffic is using the new northbound and southbound lanes between Big Bear Blvd and American Parkway.
* Brown School Road east will continue to be narrowed to ten feet.
* The roadway between American Parkway and Route VV in various locations is narrowed to ten feet.
The project is expected to be complete in late 2009.
Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 70 between mile marker 138 and miler marker 148 - Guardrail repair in the eastbound lanes will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 3. One eastbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.
Route 54 at Interstate 70 Interchange in Kingdom City - Concrete replacement in the eastbound and westbound lanes in various locations will take place Monday, Nov. 2 through Friday, Nov. 6. Periodic lane closures can be expected through the area.
Route 63 over the Katy Trail - Bridge deck repair in the southbound lanes will take place
Thursday, Nov. 5 and Friday, Nov. 6. One southbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.
Route 63 at the Cedar Creek Bridge - Bridge deck repair in the northbound lanes will take place Tuesday, Nov. 3 and Wednesday, Nov. 4. One northbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.
Callaway and Cole Counties
Daylight Hours
Route 54 at the Missouri River Bridge - Bridge maintenance in the westbound lanes will take place Tuesday, Nov. 3 through Thursday, Nov. 5. One westbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.
Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Mace Road near the Camden/Miller County line and the Grand Glaize Bridge in Osage Beach - Grading, paving and new bridge construction.
* Asphalt paving continues on the new Route 54 Expressway and Osage Beach Parkway.
* Eastbound and westbound traffic on the exiting Route 54 between Route 42 and Bluff Road have a bridge within the area that has a width restriction of two, 10-foot lanes in each direction. This traffic configuration will remain in place through late summer 2010.
* Route 54 traffic has been shifted to a new bypass on the east end of the project near Mace Road to allow for new bridge construction. The bypass will be in place through spring 2010.
The entire project will be complete by August 2010.
Route 54 between the Grand Glaize Bridge to west of Route KK in Osage Beach - Grading, drainage work, paving and bridges for the new Route 54 Expressway.
* Excavation and drainage work nears completion in the Case Road/Broadwater Road area.
* Construction of the new Case Road bridge over the new Route 54 Expressway continues.
No traffic delays are expected at this time. This portion of the project is scheduled for completion in Spring 2011.
Route 5 from two miles south of the Niangua Bridge to south of Camdenton near Route 7 - New roadway, interchanges, bridges and paving.
* Grading work for the right-in/right-out at Bear Paw Road and the new Route 5 is nearing completion and scheduled to open to traffic the week of Nov. 1.
The rest of the work on this project is complete.
Route 5, one mile north of Route F to Route F in Sunrise Beach - Widening of lanes and new center turn lane. Minor traffic delays can be expected. This project is scheduled to be complete in mid-December 2009.
Camden and Laclede Counties
Daylight Hours
Route 5 from Old Route 5 to south of Route P in Laclede County - Grading for a shared four-lane highway.
* Paving continues on Service Road 5-158 at the south end of the project.
* Excavation, rock, erosion control and drainage work continues from Spencer Creek area to the south end of the project.
This portion of the project is expected to be complete by late fall 2009. Traffic on Route 5 is not affected at this time.
Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route C at Vieth Drive in Jefferson City - Replacement of traffic signals at the intersection. Most work will take place on the shoulders, but periodic lane closures can be expected on Route C. Traffic will be flagged through the work area during those closures.
Cooper County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 at mile marker 91 and mile marker 92 - Guardrail repair in the eastbound lanes will take place on Monday, Nov. 2. One eastbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.
Interstate 70 between Route B and the Saline County line - Roadway pavement marking and guardrail replacement in the westbound lanes will continue through late fall. One westbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.
Route 87 bridge over Interstate 70 - Bridge deck repair will take place on Monday, Nov. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route M bridge over the Chouteau Creek, two miles south of Interstate 70 - Bridge deck replacement continues through late November. The bridge will be closed to traffic during construction. Motorists will be detoured to Routes M, 135 and OO. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Gasconade County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 from Owensville city limits to the Crawford County line - Roadway patching will take place Tuesday, Nov. 3 and Wednesday, Nov. 4. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 42 at the Mills Spring Creek Bridge, 4.5 miles from Route 28 - Bridge deck replacement continues through late fall. The bridge is closed during construction. Motorists will be detoured around the work area on Routes 28 and Z. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Miller County

Route 54 from the Osage River Bridge in Lake Ozark to Mace Road near the Camden/Miller County line in Osage Beach - Grading and drainage work for the new Route 54 Expressway. Minor traffic delays can be expected as rock blasting operations continue between Business Route 54 and the Osage River. This portion of the project is expected to be complete early 2010.
Route 17 at the Osage River Bridge - Grading and drainage work for the new bridge construction. This project is expected to be complete in Fall 2010.
Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route 50 east of Route E to Route K - Clearing, grading and drainage work for new four-lane highway.
* Traffic on Route 50 between Stockhaven Road and Springer Hill Road may be down to one lane in each direction periodically through the work area until Friday, Nov. 6.
This project is expected to be complete in Fall 2010.
Route CC between Route C and Route E - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, Nov. 2 through Thursday, Nov. 5. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Osage County
Daylight Hours
Route 50 between County Road 401 and County Road 601 - Guardrail repair will take place in various locations on Wednesday, Nov. 4. One lane in each direction will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Pettis County
Daylight Hours
Main Street at Route 50 in Sedalia - Permit work will take place Monday, Nov. 2 and continue through late November. Periodic westbound lane closures on Route 50 are possible during the work.
Route V between Walnut School Road and Van Dyke Road - Culvert replacement will take place Monday, Nov. 2 through Friday, Nov. 6. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Overnight/Daylight Hours
Route 50 between Route MM and the Johnson County line - Roadway resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes will continue through late fall. One lane in each direction will be open through the work area.
