BENTON COUNTY - A bridge deck replacement on Route C at the Brush Creek Bridge in Benton County is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Sept. 9, weather permitting. The Brush Creek Bridge is located 10 miles west of U.S. Route 65.

The bridge will be closed to traffic during construction, which is scheduled through late October. Motorists will be detoured around the work area on Routes T, 65, 7, and PP.

The improvements are part of MoDOT's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program, which will improve 800 of Missouri's worst bridges in five years. Ninety bridges will be replaced or repaired in the mid-Missouri area as a part of this program.
