BOONE COUNTY - The public is invited to attend an open-house community briefing to learn about planned improvements to the Perche Creek Bridge on Route 124 and the Perche Creek Bridge on Route NN in Boone County. Both bridges are located near the intersection of Route 124 and Route NN.The improvements are being completed as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.The project includes replacing the bridge decks. Crews must complete the improvements between early 2010 and fall 2010. Once work on a bridge begins, the bridge will remain closed for approximately 45 days. Both bridges will not close at the same time.The briefing will take place on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 from 4:30-6 p.m. at MoDOT's Harrisburg Maintenance Facility located at 7370 Highway 124.During the community briefing, MoDOT staff will be on hand to discuss details about the project plans and proposed detour. The public may attend the briefing at anytime during the advertised hours. Ninety bridges will be replaced or repaired in the mid-Missouri area as a part of this program.
