MONITEAU COUNTY - The public is invited to attend an open-house community briefing to learn about planned improvements in Moniteau County for the Moniteau Creek Bridge on Route D. The Moniteau Creek Bridge is located approximately four miles northeast of Route KK.The briefing will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 from 4-6 p.m. at the Missouri Department of Transportation's Jamestown Maintenance Facility located at 327 South Mill Street in Jamestown, Mo.The project includes replacing the bridge deck. Work is planned for spring and summer 2009 and the bridge will be closed for several weeks during the work. The improvement is being planned as part of MoDOT's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program. During the community briefing, MoDOT staff will be on hand to discuss details about the project plans and proposed detour. The public may attend at anytime during the advertised hours. Ninety bridges will be replaced or repaired in the mid-Missouri area as a part of this program.
