MORGAN COUNTY - The public is invited to attend an open-house community briefing to learn about planned improvements in Morgan County for the Smith Creek Bridge on Route HH, located approximately one mile east of Route 5.

The briefing will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 from 4-6 p.m. at the Missouri Department of Transportation's Versailles Maintenance Facility located at 501 Jefferson Rd., Versailles, Mo.

 The project includes replacing the bridge deck.  Work is planned for spring and summer 2009 and the bridge will be closed for several weeks during the work.  The improvement is being planned as part of MoDOT's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
