BOONE COUNTY - The public is invited to attend an open-house community briefing to learn about planned improvements to the Sugar Creek Bridge on Route F in Boone County. The Sugar Creek Bridge is located five miles west of U.S. Route 63. The improvements are being planned as part of MoDOT's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.The briefing will take place on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 from 4-6 p.m. at MoDOT's Harrisburg maintenance facility located at 7370 Highway 124.The project includes replacing the bridge deck. Work is planned for spring and summer 2009 and the bridge will be closed for several weeks during the work. During the community briefing, MoDOT staff will be on hand to discuss details about the project plans and proposed detour. The public may attend the briefing at anytime during the advertised hours. Ninety bridges will be replaced or repaired in the mid-Missouri area as a part of this program.
