Bridge Replacement Closes Route W Bridge over Macks Creek in Camden County

CAMDEN COUNTY - The Macks Creek bridge on Route W in Camden County closed to traffic on Tuesday, August 2 for replacement.  The bridge is located in the city limits of Macks Creek, just west of U.S. 54.

The bridge will remain closed until late September.  Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes around the work area.

The bridge replacement is part of MoDOT's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program, which will improve 800 of Missouri's worst bridges in five years - by the end of 2013.  Over ninety bridges will be replaced or repaired in MoDOT's Central Missouri District as a part of this program.  Currently, over 480 of the bridges included in the program have been improved statewide.

For more information or for a complete listing of bridges included in the program, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or log onto www.modot.org/central.  You can also follow MoDOT's Central Missouri District on Twitter at https://twitter.com/MoDOT_Central.
