Ashland Boone YM

Project Description

Roadwork on Route 63 and the Y/M Interchange in Ashland has been completed. This was a large project encompassing multiple improvements, including:

 

  • Bridge deck and structure repairs on the Route M and Y overpass, and a new driving surface
  • Adding a J-turn on Route 63 just south of Peterson Lane, which will replace the existing median crossovers at Liberty Lane and Peterson Lane
  • Installing roundabouts on Routes M and Y at the Route 63 overpass
  • Pavement repairs throughout the Route 63 corridor between Route WW in Columbia and U.S. 54 in Callaway County
  • A new overlay with shoulder sealing from Route WW to U.S. 54 in Callaway County

Route B Bridge Replacement

The Missouri Department of Transportation constructed a bridge on Route B over Business Loop 70 in Columbia. This project was a cooperative effort between MoDOT and the City of Columbia. Materials presented at the public meeting on March 3 are located below:

Route 63 Hinton J-turn

 

Route 63 Intersection Improvements

MoDOT has completed intersection improvements along Route 63 in Boone County. The project involved the construction of J-Turns, offset left turns, acceleration and deceleration lanes at the intersection of Route 63 and Hinton Road/Calvert Hill Road, north of Columbia. Route Z Road and Bridge Improvements

The Missouri Department of Transportation completed of road and bridge improvements along Route Z at Interstate 70. The work is designed to improve safety and accommodate an expected increase in traffic associated with the new Battle High School.

U.S. 63 and Route H Interchange

The Missouri Department of Transportation constructed a diamond interchange at U.S. 63 and Route H near the Columbia Regional Airport in Boone County. The project also included constructing new southbound lanes from just north of Route 163 to Route H in Columbia. An outer roadway would be created using the current southbound lanes. This would allow for the removal of several crossovers to improve safety.
