Street Interchange is OPEN
On the heels of the opening of the new U.S. Route 50/63 interchange at Lafayette Street comes the closure of the Clark Avenue bridge over U.S. Route 50/63 in Jefferson City. The overpass closed Monday, Sept. 19 for 45 days to get a new driving surface and undergo repairs. The pavement on either side of the bridge will also be repaired as part of the rehabilitation. The Route 50/63 on- and off-ramps at Clark Avenue will remain open until Monday, Oct. 3, when they will close for the remaining 30 days of the 45-day closure.
Chestnut Street is also closed until 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23. The street will be closed from East Miller to East Elm to install aesthetic concrete pylons on all four corners of the new bridge.
