Camden County Route 5 - June 2006 Photos
Photos from June 26-30:
Since standard pipes will be too small to carry water from underneath the new roadway, crews are building a specially designed box culvert to handle the drainage.

It takes huge machinery to move seven million cubic yards of earth, and this D11 Caterpillar weighs over 230,000 pounds. In this photo, it sits next to a standard pickup truck.
Photos from June 19-23:

Wondering how big the construction site is?
This is a a close-up of the bulldozer and truck from the photo above.
Photos from June 12-16:

Bulldozers are shaping up the area for culvert pipe installation.
Crews are making progress clearing brush and trees, as evident in this photo taken from the same location as last week.
Photos from June 5-9:
As crews clear trees and brush, erosion control devices are installed to protect the environment. This view was taken from a county road north of Camdenton. The current Route 5 is located west of the area featured.

Crews must build haul roads to allow equipment and materials access to the area.
