Route V Over Doxie Creek Bridge Replacement
Bridge was completed in November of 2018.
Project Overview:
The project replaced the Howard County Route V bridge over Doxies Creek northeast of Glasgow. The new bridge is six feet wider, has additional guardrail on the bridge ends, and will increase safety on the bridge.
Cost:
The total cost of the project is approximately $600,000.
Why was this work necessary?
The former Route V Doxies Creek Bridge was built in 1947 and its condition had deteriorated, reaching a point where replacement is necessary.
