I-70 Columbia Design-Build Bridges Procurement Process

I-70 bridges logoDesign Build Procurement Process

In fall 2014, the Missouri Department of Transportation received Statements of Qualification (SOQ) from contracting teams interested in competing for the contract to design and construct the three bridge locations on Interstate 70 in Columbia, Boone County. MoDOT held an industry meeting on Nov. 19 and presented the following information:

In January 2015, the following four teams were short-listed to proceed:

  • APAC-Missouri Inc., Burns and McDonnell, Hg Consult Inc.
  • Emery Sapp and Sons Inc., Parsons Transportation Group Inc.
  • KCI Construction Company Inc., Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., ABNA Engineering Inc.
  • Millstone Weber, LLC, Horner and Shifrin Inc.

On June 3, 2015, Emery Sapp and Sons, along with partner Parsons Transportation Group, was selected to design and build the project.
