Daily Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Construction/Ongoing/Special Projects:

 

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Striping of roadways, mowing, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.

 

Boone County

Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between Route 63 and Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) –
Replacement of bridges over Business Loop 70, Garth Avenue and Rangeline Street is underway.

       * The contractor will be constructing the westbound I-70 bypass at Rangeline during the week of August 31. Minimal traffic delays are possible due to construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway at the intersection. 

       * Excavation work at the Rangeline and Garth locations is also planned for the week of August 31.

       * The sidewalks along Rangeline Street between I-70 and Vandiver Drive are closed.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in October of 2016. 

Overnight Hours

Route 63 Connector at Interstate 70 – Concrete pavement repairs in the northbound and southbound lanes will continue the week of August 31.

       * One northbound lane and one southbound lane will be open through the work area. The work is expected to be completed in mid-September.

 

Route 63 between Route 763 (Rangeline Street) and Route WW (Broadway Street) – Pavement repairs in the northbound and southbound lanes will continue the week of August 31.

       * One northbound lane and one southbound lane will be open through the work area. The work is expected to be completed in late September.

 

Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 50 (Whitton Expressway) and the Lafayette Street Interchange -
Interchange construction, lane construction, and bridge improvements continue.

       * Westbound traffic on Routes 50/63 is being diverted onto the new Lafayette Street exit and entrance ramps back to 50/63. Lafayette is closed. This configuration is scheduled to remain in place until June of 2016.
* The entrance ramp from Clark Avenue to westbound 50/63 is scheduled to remain closed until June of 2016.

       * The eastbound lanes of 50/63 will be reduced to eleven feet through the work area near Lafayette Street. This alignment will remain in place until the end of this year.

Overnight Hours

Route 50/63 between Liberty Road and Vetter Lane in Jefferson City - Roadway resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes is underway. One eastbound lane and westbound lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

 

 

Cooper County
Overnight Hours

Interstate 70 between Route 87 and the Boone County line – Pavement repair and resurfacing continues.

       * Resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place the week of August 31.

       * Guardrail repair and replacement work will be suspended during resurfacing operations, but will resume afterward and will continue through September.

The work is expected to be completed in late-September.

 

Crawford County
Daylight Hours

Route C between Route 19 and Old Highway 66 – Roadway resurfacing is underway. Roadside maintenance will also take place Monday, August 31 through Thursday, September 3. One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The resurfacing project is set for completion in early October. 

 

Route CC between Route C and Route 19 – Roadway resurfacing is underway. One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is set for completion in early October. 

 

Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between North Route 28 and South Route 28 –
Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.

       * The contractor will repair concrete during the week of August 31. One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

 

Miller County
Daylight Hours

Route Y between Route 52 and Hickory Road in Morgan County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in September.

 

Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route 50 and Business Route 54 in Miller County
– Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.

       * Shoulder widening and erosion control work will take place during the week of August 31. One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

 

Osage County
Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route Y over Little Third Creek, north of County Road 736 –Bridge deck replacement continues. The bridge is closed to traffic during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in early September.

 

Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 8 over Dry Fork Creek just south of St. James –
Bridge replacement continues.
* The contractor plans to pave the new roadway during the week of August 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. Periodic traffic delays are possible.

 

Daylight Hours

Route 68 between Interstate 44 and Route 63 in Maries County - Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues.

       * Minor cleanup and grading work is planned during the week of August 31. Minimal traffic interruptions are expected.  The project is scheduled for completion in October.

 

Route D between Interstate 44 and Route 28 in Pulaski County - Roadway resurfacing continues.

       * Striping operations are scheduled to take place the week of August 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

 

Pulaski County

Daylight Hours

Route Y between the I-44 North Outer Road and Holtzman Road – Roadway resurfacing continues.

       * Minimal work is planned for the week of August 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

 

Washington County
Daylight Hours

Route A between Route 185 and Route 47 - Roadway resurfacing will begin the week of August 31.  One lane will be open, and crews and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Cooper County
Daylight Hours

Route D between Route 87 and Route O in Moniteau County – Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Route T between Route B and Hopewell Drive – Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Crawford County
Daylight Hours

Interstate 44 at Route UU – Roadway maintenance on the eastbound and westbound exit ramps. One lane on each ramp will be open through the work area.

 

Interstate 44 at Route H – Roadway maintenance on the eastbound and westbound exit ramps. One lane on each ramp will be open through the work area.

 

Route 19 between Route O and Route DD – Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Route U between Route M and Meramec Farms Road – Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Dent County
Daylight Hours

Route 32 over Dry Valley Creek, east of County Road 4245 – Bridge maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

 

Howard County
Daylight Hours

Route J over Sulphur Creek, west of County Road 309 – Bridge maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

 

Miller County
Daylight Hours

Route 42 between Route 54 and Blue Ridge Road – Roadway striping. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Route A between Route 17 and Route PP – Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Y between Fox Road and Oak Hill Road – Culvert pipe replacement. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Z between Route Y and Blue Springs Drive – Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Motorists should expect delays and lower their speeds through the area. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. 

Route EE between Route 17 and Route U – Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 135 between Route DD and Route JJ –
Culvert pipe replacement. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Osage County
Daylight Hours

Route Y between Route 89 and County Road 727 – Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Pulaski County

Daylight Hours

Route 133 between Route 17 and Route C – Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Spur 44 between Interstate 44 and Gateway Circle in St. Robert – Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Washington County
Daylight Hours

Route 8 between Route AA and the Crawford County Line – Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route U between Route 8 and Route M – Culvert pipe replacement in various locations. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
