Daily Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Construction/Ongoing/Special Projects:

All Counties
Daylight/Evening Hours
Striping of roadways, mowing, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.

 

Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route 63 in Ashland – Work includes bridge deck repairs on the Route M and Y overpass; construction of a J-turn on Route 63 south of Peterson Lane; elimination of existing median crossovers at Liberty and Peterson lanes; installation of roundabouts on Routes M and Y at the Route 63 overpass; pavement resurfacing of northbound and southbound Route 63 between Route WW and Route 54 in Callaway County.

       * In Ashland, the contractor should be finishing up.  Planned work includes seeding the interchange, striping and new guardrail installation.  This may require narrow lanes through the work area.

       * Pavement marking is underway.  The contractor will be finishing up rumble strips, and will be working on grooving the centerline of Route 63 north of Ashland.  Striping will resume along the Route 63 corridor.  This work will be during both daytime and nighttime hours, and although it will not require a lane closure, motorists should watch for slow moving vehicles in traffic.

       * Guardrail installation continues.  There may be short-term lane closures to accommodate the work.     

The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Overnight Hours

Interstate 70 over Garth Avenue – Bridge maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Tuesday, October 28 through Friday, October 31. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

 

Route 163 (Providence Road) between Business Loop 70 and Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) - Roadway resurfacing and striping continues.  
       * Route 163 from Stadium to Route K: Work is largely completed.  Motorists should look for occasional lane closures while the contractor finishes up the project.         

       * Route 763 at I-70: Resurfacing and striping are complete. 
       * Route 163 from Business Loop to Stadium: Miscellaneous sidewalk work will take place during the overnight hours along Providence Road.        

 

Business Loop 70 between West Boulevard and Eastland Drive - Roadway resurfacing and traffic signal improvements.

       * Paving work should finish up Monday night between the railroad tracks and I-70. One lane will be closed during paving operations, and traffic will be flagged through the area. Work will take place between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Striping should be completed later in the week or the following week.

Route 63 at Hinton Road
– Intersection improvements in the northbound and southbound lanes continue. Various lane closures are likely through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

 

Callaway County
Daylight Hours

Route 54 at Route FF/Old Route 40 – Traffic signal installation, construction of turn lanes, and new roadway construction is nearing completion. Various lane closures are possible through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

 

Camden County
Daylight Hours

Route 7 between Route 5 and Route 65 in Benton County - Roadway resurfacing is nearing completion. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

 

Cole County
Overnight Hours

Route 179 between Route 50 and Route 54 – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder improvement is nearing completion. Crews will work on striping and shoulders during the week of October 27.  One lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

 

Dent County

Daylight Hours

Route 19 between Route 32 and Route KK in Shannon County – Roadway resurfacing continues.

       * The contractor will install shoulders the week of October 27. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

The project is scheduled for completion in November.  

Route J between Route 72 and Route 32 – Pavement and drainage improvements continue. The road is closed between Route 72 and 3rd Street during the work. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.  

 

Gasconade County

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route H over Fork Creek, south of Garner Road – Bridge replacement is complete. The bridge was opened to traffic on October 30.

Route 19 between Route 28 and Krausetown Road –
Roadway resurfacing and widening of shoulders continues.

              * The contractor will be installing shoulders along Route 19 during the week of October 27. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
The project is scheduled for completion in November.  

 

Howard County

Daylight Hours

Route 40 over Moniteau Creek, at the Boone County line – Bridge rehabilitation continues. A detour is in place, utilizing Spur 40, Route BB, Interstate 70 and Route J.  The project is scheduled for completion in early November.

 

Laclede County

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route 32 between Route 5 and Route 65 in Dallas County – Roadway resurfacing and widening of shoulders continues.

       * Resurfacing is scheduled to start on November 1.  Resurfacing will begin in Lebanon and work west. 

       * Guardrail installation is scheduled to start next week October 27 from Lebanon to Long Lane. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

 

Overnight Hours

Interstate 44 between mile markers 135 and 145 – Guard cable maintenance will take place Monday, November 3 through Friday, November 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Route 5 between Interstate 44 and Route 64 – Roadway resurfacing continues.

       * Striping will take place the week of October 27. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

 

Osage County
Daylight Hours
Old Route 50 between Route 63 and County Road 604 –
Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in late October.

 

Phelps County

Overnight Hours

Route 63 between Route BB and Route CC – Pavement and sidewalk improvements continue.
       * The contractor will replace entrances to Lanning Lane, which will result in the closure of Lanning Lane the week of October 27. The contractor will also be installing pedestrian signal upgrades at the intersection of Kingshighway and Route 63. 

One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Route 72 between Route F and Route 32 in Dent County – Roadway resurfacing continues.

       * The contractor will install rumble strips and pavement markings the week of October 27. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

The project is scheduled for completion in November.  

 

Washington County

Daylight Hours

Route 47 between Route 21 and the St. Francois County line - Roadway resurfacing continues.

       * The contractor will be installing rumble strips along the roadway during the week of October 27. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
The project is scheduled for completion in November.  

Route 47 between Route 21 and the Franklin County line - Roadway resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

 

Maintenance Projects:

Camden County
Daylight Hours

Route A between Route 54 and Route E – Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Cooper County

Daylight Hours

Route V between Route 179 and the end of state maintenance - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete.  At that time, crews will sweep the roadway.  Drivers should lower their speeds through the area. Motorists should expect delays. One lane will be open, and a pilot car will lead traffic through the work area.

 

Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 19 over Interstate 44 in Cuba
– Bridge maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Route 19 and Route C - Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route BB between Route 8 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route DD between Route 19 and the end of state maintenance - Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Gasconade County

Daylight Hours
Route 28 at Nursing Home Road
- Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Laclede County

Daylight Hours

Route 32 between Route N and Route U - Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route OO between Route 32 and Route 64-A - Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Maries County
Daylight Hours

Route 63 over the Gasconade River, north of Route A – Bridge maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Miller County
Daylight Hours

Route 87 between Salem Road and Route A in Moniteau County – Culvert pipe maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Route D between Columbia Road and the end of state maintenance – Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Osage County

Route 100 at Route C
– Culvert pipe replacement. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Phelps County

Daylight Hours

Route 68 between Route 8 and Route 19 in Dent County – Roadside maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

 

Route YY between Route 68 and Burley Ridge Road in Crawford County – Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
