2012-2016 Statewide Highway & Bridge Construction Schedule

JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of May 27 - June 6, 2013. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures, and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signing and drive safely through work areas. Mowing of right of way and striping of roadways are under way in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the roadside.

Boone County

Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) at Interstate 70 - Construction of a diverging diamond interchange continues. Motorists should be prepared for other periodic street and lane closures and delays. Construction is scheduled to be completed in winter of 2014.

Route Z at Interstate 70 - Bridge replacement, shoulder widening, roundabout construction and resurfacing continues.
* The overpass and all exit and entrance ramps from I-70 at Route Z are closed through the duration of the project. Route Z can be accessed by taking the north outer road, while Rangeline Road can be accessed by taking the south outer road. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

Interstate 70 over Hominy Creek west of exit 131 - Bridge and pavement replacement in the westbound lanes continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2013.

Route N between Route 163 and end of state maintenance – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, June 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Camden County

Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 5 bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks at Hurricane Deck - Bridge replacement continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. However, traffic could be stopped briefly to allow equipment to be moved. The entire project is scheduled for completion in spring 2014.

Daylight Hours

Route A at Calvert Lane – Culvert pipe repair will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cole County

Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route B over the Osage River bridge north of St. Thomas – Bridge rehabilitation work continues. One lane is open, and temporary traffic signals are moving traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2013.

Overnight Hours

Route 50 between Business Route 50 (Missouri Boulevard) and Clark Avenue - Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday May 29. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Daylight Hours

Truman Boulevard over Route 50 – Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cooper County

Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Route O and Interstate 70 - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders, and installation of rumble strips continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2013.

Overnight Hours

Interstate 70 between mile marker 98.0 and mile marker 106 – Roadway resurfacing and guard rail replacement in the eastbound lanes will begin the week of May 27. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

Nighttime Hours

Interstate 70 between mile marker 98.0 and mile marker 114.4 - Roadway maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Sunday, June 2 through Wednesday, June 5. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Interstate 70 between mile marker 115.0 and mile marker 86.8 - Roadway maintenance in the westbound lanes will take place Sunday, June 2 through Wednesday, June 5. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Crawford County

Overnight Hours

Interstate 44 between Phelps County line and Franklin County line - Roadway maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, May 30. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.

Daylight Hours

Route 8 between Route 19 and Route Y - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, June 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Interstate 44 and Gasconade County line - Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route P between Cuba city limits and Fischer Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route V between Route 49 and Route Y – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, June 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route FF between Interstate 44 South Outer Road and Butler Pond Road - Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 5 at the Osage Fork bridge - Construction of new bridges continues. Much of the current work will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2013.

Route 32 at the Gasconade and Osage Fork bridges - Construction of new bridges continues. The bridges are closed to traffic and will remain closed through the remainder of the project. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2013.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between mile marker 113 and mile marker 145 - Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29. One lane will be open through the work zone.

Maries County

Route 42 over the Gasconade River, west of County Road 335 - Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, June 6. One lane will be open through the work zone.

Miller County

Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 54 bridge over the Osage River east of Wood River Road - Bridge rehabilitation in the westbound lanes is completed.

Daylight Hours
Route 42 between Route 17 and Route 134 - Shoulder widening work continues.

* Crews are currently working to build dirt embankments along the roadway, causing one lane to be closed. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work area.

* Asphalt paving of the roadway and shoulders is under way.

* A width restriction of 10 feet is in place between Route C and the city of Osage Beach.

The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Business Route 54 in Eldon - Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Business Route 54 in Lake Ozark - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 17 between Charcoal Kiln Road and Airport Road - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route D between Columbia Road and the end of state maintenance – Roadside maintenance will take place Wednesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route K between Bethany Road and Cannor Ridge Road - Roadside maintenance will take place on Tuesday, May 28. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 50 at the Lamine River Bridge west of Syracuse and
Route 50 at the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge west of Syracuse – Bridge deck replacement will begin the week May 28. One lane of each bridge will be open, and temporary traffic signals will move traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2013.

Route 52 between Route 5 south and Route 5 north - Roadside maintenance will take place Thursday, May 30 through Thursday, June 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Osage County

Daylight Hours
Route 50 between Route 63 and Route W - Construction of new lanes continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2014.

Route A between Route 50 and Route C - Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Phelps County

Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 72 between Route 63 and County Road 5220 - Roadway resurfacing and signal upgrades continue. One lane will be open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2013.

Route B over Clear Creek, south of County Road 1220 - Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, June 6. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Pulaski County

Overnight Hours

Interstate 44 over Big Piney River - Bridge maintenance westbound lanes will take place Sunday, June 2 and Monday, June 3. One westbound lane will be open through the work area

Washington County

Daylight Hours

Route 8 between Route 21 and the Crawford County line – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route E between Route 21 and Route 8 - Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 28 through Thursday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
