Missouri Blvd ADA Sidewalks 515

MoDOT plans to repair and replace existing Americans with Disabilities Act deficient sidewalks in various areas along Business Route 50 (Missouri Boulevard), between Whitton Expressway and Stoneridge Parkway in Jefferson City. The work is currently scheduled to begin in May of 2016.

MoDOT Launches Lafayette Street Interchange Website

To keep customers informed of the latest progress involving the Lafayette Street Interchange Project in Jefferson City, the Missouri Department of Transportation has developed a multi-purpose webpage about the two-year, $20.3 million project.

The website includes a general project overview, information about current construction work and future construction schedules, maps showing construction phases, as well as the ability to sign up for weekly e-mail updates about the project. This page will also serve as an information hub to give motorists advance notice of any major traffic impacts affecting their travel. (MORE)

Sept. 26 - Oct. 4, 2013

MoDOT is proposing to improve U.S. Route 50, also known as the Whitton Expressway, in Jefferson City.  The improvements include a new interchange at Route 50 and Lafayette Street, as well as adding a lane in each direction from Monroe Street to Lafayette Street and from Lafayette to Clark Avenue. Six bridges along the corridor will be replaced, newly constructed or rehabilitated. The project is planned for late 2014.
