The Job
Special Provisions are revisions to the standard specifications
and general provisions applicable to an individual project.
Like the standard specifications, the JSPs contain information
covering work methods, materials, measurements, or basis of
payment. The JSPs take highest precedence over all material
contained in the bidding documents.
The JSP Database is a compilation of standardized JSPs. The
database is provided as a tool for external users to have
access to all the JSPs available for projects. The material
presented is in text and tables, and in English or metric
units.
To use the JSPs in the database format, first select a view.
Once in the database, select the ID of a JSP to view the contents.
To view additional JSPs, in the "Current..." views,
select Next. The database also supports searching for keywords
or phrases. Nonstandard Job Special Provisions are revisions to the specifications and general provisions that have not been accepted as official provisions by MoDOT management. These provisions represent viable practical design concepts and innovative transportation solutions that may be considered as project conditions allow. These provisions will be submitted for formal approval and inclusion in the JSP database at a later date.
