There are two types of New Product submissions to MoDOT.  The first type is submittal of a product for which MoDOT currently has specifications and the material is in compliance with those specifications.  These should be submitted to the Materials' Field Office for evaluation and analysis.  The second type is submittal of a product for which MoDOT does not have an applicable specification, and so the product should be submitted to Research, Development and Technology. Below is information that may assist persons interested in submitting a product for approval.  Typically, at a minimum, the following information should be provided with any product submittal.

General Product Submittal

New Product Evaluation Request Form A form required for submittal that details specific product and manufacturer information.

MoDOT Standard Specifications The applicable MoDOT Specification for the product.

An appropriately sized sample of the Product (if required by the specification)

Material Safety Data Sheet

Any product documentation requested in the Standard Specification.

Any applicable test results.

PAL specific information, including applicable forms (for PAL material submittal).

Any additional applicable product information
