General The Project Development Manual is MoDOT's guide to roadway design. Contained within the manual are criteria and guidance material engineers use for designing projects. This material is presented in text, figures, and tables. The manuals are provided in Acrobat Reader format. To use the documents as intended, download the Free Adobe Acrobat Reader from Adobe's web site. It is suggested you start with first reading the Readme file below. This file outlines how to download the manual, where to place the files, how to start using the manual, some helpful hints for moving around the manual, and how to search the manual. The files below are self-extracting executable files, which may be downloaded and run to extract the individual files. If you download the chapter files and wish to be notified when revisions are posted to this site, please send an email to the address at the bottom of this page. Please enclose in the note an email address of the contact person to be notified. Files  Readme First Project Development Manual This link will load the Project Development Manual into your browser by using Adobe Acrobat as a plug-in (if the manual does not load properly, please download and install Acrobat Reader from the link at the bottom of this page).  The manual will work just like the downloaded version runs on your pc (this one will probably run a little slower, depending on your connection to the internet).  You will NOT be able to search through the entire document as you can on your pc.  If you want to be able to search the entire manual, you must download the Chapter files and continue to update the manual on your pc by downloading the Revision files.
