Traffic Regulation and Safety Rules

These rules cover the chief engineer’s authority to close roads in the event of emergency situations. Rules regarding the motorcycle safety education program and the driver improvement program, and the Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device Certification and Operational Requirements programs are also included as a result of the transfer of these duties from the Department of Public Safety to MoDOT in 2003.

NOTICE: Rules for the: Motorcycle Safety Education Program, and Driver Improvement Program, were filed with the Secretary of State for amendment and/or rescission and published in the Missouri Register on November 15, 2016. On April 3, 2017, the final orders of rulemaking for these rules were filed with the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules.
