The substructure of the westbound I-44 bridge has deteriorated, and needs to be replaced. The bridge deck on the eastbound I-44 bridge also needs to be replaced.

The westbound I-44 bridge will be replaced. The eastbound I-44 bridge will be rehabilitated with a new bridge deck.

What is the Update With This Project?

This improvement project was awarded to N.B. West Contracting for approximately $1.8 million. Construction began in early February 2010 and was completed in October 2010.
