The Missouri DOT has been utilizing recycled shingles (RAS) in their roads since 2003! The workshop is designed to create
an open discussion on the steps and procedures Missouri Partners followed to:
• Ensure a final quality tear-off shingle product
• Develop mix designs utilizing RAS and/or RAS/RAP mixtures
• Develop their specification allowing for the use of RAS in HMA
• Complete paving projects that meet performance standards
The workshop will also include presentations from MN/DOT and Iowa State University.
Participants will include representatives from:

• Pooled-Fund Study #1208 State Highway Agencies to Date (MO, CA, IA, IL Toll, MN, CO)
• Surrounding States (NE, KS, IL, AR, OK, WI)
