Shelby County

Route 36 - Progressive Contractors Job# J3P0409C & 410 - Grading and paving for new dual divided facility, minimal to no impact to traffic.
Location: From 0.6 mile west of Route 15 at Shelbina east to 0.4 mile west of Ralls County at Monroe City
Work Zone Info: There will be reduced speed limits in various work zones on all jobs. Also there are excessive amounts of construction truck traffic on Route 36 hauling dirt, base rock and concrete from Monroe City to Hunnewell.
Project Status: Project 35% complete - Paving operations shut down for winter from Monroe City to the west. Other crews will be installing rock lining, ditch checks and erosion control in various locations.
Estimated Completion: November 2009 completion

Route 36 - Bross Construction Job #J2P0482 - Grading, paving and concrete girder bridges for new dual divided facility.
Location: From east of Route 63 near Macon to west of Route 15 near Shelbina
Work Zone Info: Work off of traveled roadway, two-way traffic 60 mph, no restriction or lane closures at this time. Shelby County Road 301 is closed at the intersection of Route 36 beginning 12/08/08 for approximately one week.
Project Status: Project 27% complete -
Macon and Shelby Counties -
Contractor is continuing to install drainage structures at various locations throughout the project. They have started construction of the substructure of three bridges, Route 36 over the Middle Fork of Salt River, Route 36 over Route FF near South Shelby High School, and Route 36 over Crooked Creek. Earthwork operations continue to move forward. Additional subcontractor hired for earthwork and should begin in early November. Baserock and paving operations are currently underway. Shelby County Road 301 is closed at the intersection of Route 36 beginning 12/08/08 for approximately one week.
Estimated Completion: Fall 2009
