New Interchange at Route 54/Route W in Miller County

A contractor for the Missouri Department of Transportation has completed a new interchange at the intersection of U.S. Route 54 and Business Route 54/Osage Hills Road in Lake Ozark. This is an effort to improve safety at this location. The most recent data states that 32 crashes took place during the last five years at that intersection.

When:

Construction on the new interchange began the week of Monday, February 3, 2020, and was completed in August 2021.

Cost:

Emery Sapp and Sons submitted the low bid of $9,711,377.

Work Taking Place:

The new interchange replaces the former signaled intersection in an effort to increase traffic safety and improve traffic flow. The project involved building two new bridges on Route 54, just west of the existing intersection, as well as three roundabouts near the interchange. Crews also completed grading and paving to incorporate the intersections of Route 54, Business Route 54, Miller County Route W and Osage Hills Road into the interchange.
