
New State Highway Map Now Available
The new 2007-2008 state highway map is now available. The new map is 12 percent larger than previous maps, so the type is bigger and easier to read. Available free of charge, the map charts Missouri’s 32,000-mile highway system, as well as major rivers, lakes, forests and state parks and historic sites. New Map
New TV/Radio Campaign Features MoDOT Worker Killed in Work Zone

Changing Safety Belt Law Will Save Lives
MoDOT and its safety partners will make changing Missouri’s safety belt law to allow for primary enforcement its top legislative priority for the 2007 session. Under the current law, law enforcement can only cite drivers for failing to wear their safety belts when they are stopped for some other traffic offense. PSB

A new web page offers valuable information about how safety belts can save lives in Missouri. Approximately 7,000 lives have been lost in the past six years on Missouri roadways, and many of them due to non safety-belt usage. A primary safety belt law would help reduce those numbers.
