Future of Transportation Funding Could be in the Hands of Voters

Missouri State Senators Mike Kehoe and Ryan McKenna held a news conference to announce their co-sponsorship of legislation intended to kick-start the discussion on transportation funding. Representative Dave Hinson and several co-sponsors introduced a similar bill in the House.

ShakeOutMoDOT Participates in the Great Central U.S. ShakeOut

MoDOT recently joined more than 2.4 million people to participate in the 2013 Great Central U.S. ShakeOut, an earthquake preparation drill. Missouri was one of nine states taking part in the ShakeOut, which was held on the 201st anniversary of the largest earthquake to ever occur in Missouri. Schools Participate in Battle of the Belts Safety Program

Schools across the state participated in the annual Battle of the Belt program, designed to reduce the number of motor vehicle related injuries and fatalities among Missouri high school students by increasing their safety belt use. Schools compete and receive dollars for their school. Winners

Osborn School received $500.00 for having the highest safety belt usage of schools participating in the region.
