Washington County

Route 32 Bridge Replacement

Online Public Meeting

Jan. 24 - Feb. 6, 2016

Project Details

The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace the Route 32 bridge over Cedar Creek in Washington County. The project is located approximately 2 miles east of Caledonia and 7 miles west of Bismarck. The existing structure was built in 1934 and is 22 feet wide. The deck and substructure of the bridges have deteriorated and are in need of replacement. The new bridge will be 26 feet wide and will improve safety for motorists.

Replacing the bridge will cost $979,000 and require a full closure of Route 42. Drivers will be provided an alternate route around the work.

Project Timeline

Construction will take place between May and September of 2017. The project allows for the road to be closed for the duration of the project. A detour route is included in the display below.
